Who we are
International Veterinary Student Association (IVSA) is a non-profit international organization with member organizations all over the world, run by volunteer veterinary students. ALL students at a given veterinary school in the UK and Ireland have their IVSA membership paid for by AVS, making them all automatically members of their university's IVSA chapter.
IVSA Glasgow aims to encourage Glasgow University Veterinary Students to explore other cultures and experiences by hosting events throughout the year, as well as exchanges with other IVSA chapters. During these exchanges students from another university will come to Glasgow and then Glasgow students will go visit that university. If you are a veterinary student at University of Glasgow, interested in going on an exchange and would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Mission Statement
“To benefit the animals and people of the world by harnessing the potential and dedication of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge.”
IVSA helps to expand the worldwide collaboration of over 30,000 veterinary students, enriching their experience and improving their skills as future veterinarians. The way in which this is achieved is by arranging annual meetings (congresses and symposia), facilitating exchanges between our members and many projects and educational opportunities focusing on animal welfare, one health, education, soft skills and wellness.
